In search of Consciousness

 

What is consciousness? – you may have heard this question a thousand times already, or you have asked yourself this question until it drove you insane. Is there even an answer to this question? In his documentary ‘The Secret You’,  Professor Marcus du Sautoy goes in search of answers to this question, which can be considered one of science's greatest mysteries. He calls this the search for consciousness, moreover, the search for ‘me’.

Over the last decade or so, no one would have ever imagined where we stand today in terms of the technology devices that are widely accessible today or that will soon become available within the next few months or years. The questions though is, is this the right path to go or will technology eventually take over our lives and mediate just about everything we see and do?  This, of course, has a lot to do with how well we use and implement it.
