This course introduces the aims and issues of psycholinguistic research, as well as its methods. Topics include the empirical validation of linguistic theories, typology, cognitive aspects of language processing, language acquisition, aphasia, reaction time experiments, eye-tracking, ERP, fMRI, computational analyses, infant research. The cycle of theoretical and experimental work will be explained, so that students can work on a small psycholinguistic experiment.
